Jazz Icons: Sarah Vaughan Live in '58 & '64

Because she could, and did, do it all.

 Speaking of Sarah, I got this Jazz Icons DVD of her for Christmas. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, mostly because I was spending my spare time catching up on the Mad Men episodes that I had missed, and re-watching some of the ones I had seen, thanks to my brother Dick, who had copies of them all. Since I gave those back the other night, and since it is going to be NO degrees here this weekend, I plan on enjoying Sarah and the Oscar Wilde biography I'm reading. Not at the same time.    

If you could perform alongside any artist (actor, dancer, musician, etc.), who would it be, and what would you perform?

I was going to say that I would have loved to perform a Christmas song with Billie Holiday, except of course that she's dead, and if she never saw reason to do a Christmas song when she was alive, then she probably had good reason for it.

So alternatively, or alternately, or otherwise, I think that I would choose to perform with my nephew, who actually is an actor. But it would be a play, not a movie or t.v., and I think I would enjoy doing something very dark, like "Long Days Journey into Night."
